Please don't go there. The people say that they give fake medicine
This place is a magnet for every drug addict within a 5 mile radius. Montfiore does nothing to address the loitering, illicit behavior and drug trade right outside its doors.
A medical supervisor by the name of Ms. Rockman or Rothman at this site, seems to enjoy to not only degrade the patients but discusses medical information in front of other patients. There are consequences behind her actions. Regardless whatever reasons these patients seek medical assistance, it's not for her to make any patient feel uncomfortable. Report this person to her supervisor, make sure to make notes of every incident and names of anyone you speak to and file report to.
What Happens When You Break a HIPAA Rule?
The consequences of a HIPAA violation depend significantly on the nature and severity of the offense. In other words, a practice that has received a relatively minor consequence for a HIPAA violation in the past can’t automatically assume that a violation isn’t a significant issue going forward.
Deciding how a HIPAA violation will be handled can involve multiple players, including employers, professional boards and in some cases, even the Department of Justice. The elements of the violation that authorities will look at include the overall nature of the violation, along with details like whether or not there was knowledge that a HIPAA rule was being violated, if there was malicious intent, and if the violation involved the criminal provision of the act.
Depending on the nature of the violation, and the position of the person or operation that committed the offense, possible consequences could include termination, removal from professional boards, fines and criminal charges.
Understanding the Civil Penalties of a HIPAA Violation
Civil penalties for a HIPAA violation can be issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. When a HIPPA violation has been committed, they will consider the circumstances of the offense and issue a penalty based on a four-tiered system.
Tier 1: A fine ranging from $100 to $25,000 for violations where it was determined that the individual was unaware of a HIPAA law being violated or where exercising a reasonable level of due diligence could have prevented the violation.
Tier 2: A fine ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 for violations where reasonable cause was established.
Tier 3: A fine ranging from $10,000 to $250,000 where willful neglect of HIPAA rules is evident, but the violation has been corrected within a specified amount of time.
Tier 4: A fine ranging from $50,000 to $1.5 million where willful neglect of HIPAA rules is evident and no attempt to correct the violation has been made.

I came to Dr.Braverman with OCD issues. The BEAM findings suggested to Dr Braverman that I should try a different class of psychotropic
medicatio n than my psychiatric symptoms indicate. I have been a regular patient for many years. Would recommend to any family, friend or colleague. My symptoms are improved - no other doctor has recommended this before and he truly saved my quality of life.
Dr. Braverman is certainly not your average doctor. That said, his level of analysis is unparalleled and thorough. One of the things I search for in a doctor is a level of knowledge that inspires trust and confidence. While one may occasionally encounter a brusque bedside manner, I believe his level of intellect makes up for, if not explains this. For many years I have seen doctors who told me things I already knew. Braverman on the other hand studies patients at multiple levels and does his best to educate them. This can sometimes feel like tough love, but he usually tells me the things I need to hear, not the things I want to hear.
I first came to Dr Braverman thinking i was totally heathy, just a little overweight in May 2017. When I first met Dr Braverman, I was a little taken back by his "strong personality", but, I was able to see past that and I have to say that I feel that he is a brilliant man.
I am proud to say that I came to his office weighing 227 Lbs & now 1 1/2 years later I am maintaining my weight at 188 Lbs! I am so impressed with him, I have trusted him with the healthcare of my wife, my father, my brother-in-law, my sister-in-law and my close friends.
I tell everyone that if you can look past his "strong personality" then you will really see how brilliant Dr Braverman is!
Pictures are April 2015 "before" and November 2017 / July 2018 "after"
I met him as a stranger & now I consider him to be a friend.
